Frequently Asked Questions

  • Payment is processed through online invoicing via Squarespace. Prior to each session, you’ll receive an invoice by email with a link to pay electronically using a credit or debit card.

    Evaluation deposits are due at time of booking. All other payments are due at time of service.

  • I am a private-pay provider and do not accept insurance at this time. This allows therapy to be tailored entirely to your child’s needs without limitations on session length, frequency, or type of services. Private pay also means shorter wait times, more flexibility in scheduling, and a stronger focus on individualized, high-quality care.

    Superbills can be provided upon request for possible insurance reimbursement. It is the client’s responsibility to understand their individual insurance benefits, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.

  • Play-based therapy uses play as a natural way to help children build a wide range of skills, including communication, social interaction, and problem-solving. The therapist follows your child’s interests and uses meaningful, back-and-forth interactions to support progress toward their individual goals in a way that feels fun and engaging.

  • Parents and caregivers are a key part of the therapy team! You are encouraged to participate in your child’s session whenever possible, although not required.

    A parent or guardian is required to remain on the premises at all times.

  • Cancellation, Attendance, & Evaluation Deposit Policy

    At Grove Pediatric Speech Therapy, appointment times are reserved specifically for your child. Consistent attendance supports progress and allows me to provide high-quality care for all families.

    Therapy Sessions
    A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a therapy session.

    • The first late cancellation (less than 24 hours’ notice) will incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled session rate:

      • 30-minute teletherapy session: $37.50

      • 45-minute home-based session: $65

      • 60-minute community-based session: $85

    • Any additional late cancellations will be charged the full session fee.

    • Any appointment missed without prior communication (no-call/no-show) will be charged the full session fee, regardless of whether it is a first occurrence.

    Evaluations
    Evaluations require significant time for preparation. A minimum of 48 hours (2 days) notice is required to cancel or reschedule an evaluation.

    • A $100 deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your child’s evaluation. This deposit will be applied toward the total evaluation fee.

      • If an evaluation is canceled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice, the deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date.

    • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the $100 deposit.

    • The first late cancellation will incur a $100 late cancellation fee (applied as forfeiture of the deposit).

    • Any evaluation missed without prior communication (no-call/no-show) will be charged the full evaluation fee due to the extensive preparation involved.

    Late Arrivals
    If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full session fee will apply.

    Illness & Emergencies
    If your child is sick, please notify me as soon as possible. Exceptions to cancellation fees may be made in cases of sudden illness or emergency at my discretion.

    Payment Policy
    All cancellation, no-show, and outstanding fees must be paid prior to scheduling future appointments.
